Seminars

Activities

The CRESIB International Health seminars have been held weekly, with great success, since 2006, thanks to the support of the Agència de Gestió d’Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca [Agency for Administration of University and Research Grants] (AGAUR), and the collaboration of the Universitat de Barcelona and Hospital Clínic, who provide the rooms.

These seminars are a key element in promoting training in international health of researchers from Catalan research centres, for setting up new collaborations and reinforcing existing ones in the different disciplines in which the centre is engaged in the sphere of international health (malaria, imported diseases, HIV/AIDS and sexually-transmitted diseases, viral and bacterial infections, public health, medical anthropology, maternal and reproductive health and host-pathogen interactions). The seminars have constituted a veritable forum for all researchers from Catalan research centres who work in the area of international health, and have helped to generate synergies and new collaborations.
