VI Workshop on Imported Chagas Disease: Immunosuppression and Transplants

CRESIB (Hospital Clínic, Universitat de Barcelona) organizes this annual workshop on 1 Febrary 2010 in Barcelona (Residència d´investigadors  CSIC-Generalitat de Catalunya, C/ Hospital nº64, Barcelona) with the special support of the Fundación Mundo Sano. This event is organized, as previous years meetings, by Dr. Joaquim Gascon, head of the Tropical Medicine Department at the Hospital Clínic, and principal investigator at CRESIB.

The main purpose of this meeting is to provide basic knowledge on the entire field of Chagas Disease in immunosuppression and transplants, improving pathophysiological, clinic and therapeutic knowledge in the major areas related to this field. Internationally known experts will give up-to-date talks on the main topics and there will also included free communications. The next day, Febrary the 2nd, all the information will be put together in a meeting which will yield the publication of a Consensus Document.

Health professionals, MSc and PhD students and researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts on related topics.

This activity is rewarded with 0,6 points by the Catalan Council for Continuing Medical Education, Commission of Continuing Education of the National Health System.
